Information On Malaga's Christmas Lights

MALAGA will have more than 500 streets decorated with 1,350,000 lights, The Video Mapping of the south tower of the Cathedral, and a new Drone Light Show, which you can see from the Palmeral de las Sorpresa, Plaza de la Marina, Muelle Uno, and Gibralfaro.

The big switch-on was on November 26th and the lights will shine 40 days, the last night being the 6th of January. They will go on daily from 6:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and on weekends and the eve of holidays, from 6:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
 

Malaga's 2022 Christmas Lights & Decorations

The Christmas decoration on Calle Larios is called “Celestial Angels, composed of 16 angels in 32 lateral columns, and 32 stelae or bursts.These 4-meter-tall angels will welcome people on Larios Street, with their 12-meter-long tails, designed with effervescent effects, starting warm white and ending in a pure white full flash, like trails that melt as they pass, decorated with the glitter of dichroic leaves to shine also during the day.
The musical show on Calle Larios will be at 6:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.The video mapping on the Cathedral will go on at 6:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. and will last until January 4th (except December 24th & 31st). The best place to see the show is at the crossroads between Calle Molina Lario and Calle Postigo de Los Abades.The Christmas Drone show premiered on the 3rd of December and will continue to be shown throughout December 7th- 8:00pm, 9th-8:30pm and 23rd- 8:00pm.
 

How to get there from Marbella

Going by car will take 58km, approximately 49 minutes. While traveling by train from Fuengirola cost less than 3 euros and will take 46 minutes. This is the best means of travel since parking will be near impossible.
